The story of Celeste Ch. 3

Chapter 3- Meeting new friends

Celeste went into a forest to rest her legs, aching from swimming so fast. She lied down for a few minutes, but then a Mankey came charging at her, furious at her for being in its territory. She tried dashing away but the Mankey easily caught up to her. They tumbled down a hill and into a swamp. They both jumped got out and the Mankey kept going at her. Scared to death, Celeste turned around and unleashed a quite powerful Water Gun. The Mankey forfeited and leaped away. Celeste shrugged and looked at herself. Her body was gray and her fur was covered in dirt, mud and grease spots from the swamp and the dirty cage she was confined to earlier that day. She kept walking until she reached a field. She wouldn't dare to lick herself clean after all she'd been through.

A while later, Celeste saw two female trainers, named Sandy and Mira, setting up a picnic table and several bowls of Pokémon food. Their partner Pokémon were out next to them She dove into a patch of long grass so they wouldn't see her. Then she heard something.

"All right everyone, it's lunch time!" said Mira. She tossed her Poké Balls into the air and out came her 5 other Pokémon: a Togekiss, Pachirisu, Cherrim, Shinx, and Leafeon. They all cheered happily.

"You too!" said Sandy. She released her Teddiursa, Altaria, Cleffa, Buizel and Azumarill.

All the Pokémon happily ran over to their bowls of food. But Mira's Piplup, Chama, spotted Celeste, whose rear end was sticking out of the grass.

"Pochama?" he said.

Celeste jumped and turned to Chama. He didn't pose as much of a threat to her, so she didn't back away.

"Pocha pocha!" he called to the other Pokémon, telling them not to eat yet. Sandy's Turtwig, Sprout, came over to Chama to see what Piplup was talking about.
Chama and Sprout walked up to their trainers, Celeste in Chama's wings.

"What is it, Chama?" Mira asked.

"Pocha..." Chama said dully. Mira spotted the miserable dirty Shaymin he was holding.

"Oh, no," Mira said.

"What is it?" Sandy asked. She sees Celeste too and then realizes what was going on.

Chama holds Celeste up to Mira, but as she reaches out to her, she clings onto him.

"Mii..." she said softly.

"Don't be afraid. We can help you feel better," said Mira. Celeste still was reluctant to let either trainer touch her.

Sandy added, "Yeah, we can give you a bath and something to eat, too."

Celeste looked up at Chama.

"Pochama," he said, smiling.

Finally Celeste earned their trust. Chama handed Celeste to Mira. She and Sandy filled a small tub full of warm water and put Celeste in it. They washed her body thoroughly and gently. Celeste seemed to enjoy it. After she was clean, Sandy used a sprayer hose to rinse all the soap out of her fur. She shook water into everyone's faces. Mira wrapped Celeste in a soft towelette and patted her dry. Then she made a dish of Pokémon food and ground it up so it would be easier for Celeste to chew. She put the dish between her Pachirisu and Sandy's Azumarill.

"Here, you can eat next to Cyan and Bubbles."

Celeste and all the other Pokémon began to eat. She loved the food very much and ate all of it. She was happy that Sandy and Mira were so grateful to her, so flowers bloomed on her back.

Late that afternoon, Sandy held Celeste (who was now in Sky Forme) out in her hands. She fluttered away.

"We're glad we could help you!" Mira shouted.

"Have a safe voyage!" Sandy called.

"Shei-miii!" Celeste called back, waving bye with her ears.

As Celeste flew over the ocean, she smiled as a small tear formed in her eye. But she kept going. The water sparkled in the setting sun, and made Celeste keep staring down at it.
Soon enough, 8:00 struck. Celeste began changing back into Land Forme, and plunged into the ocean. There wasn't any land nearby, so she couldn't go to sleep for the night. She was just going to have to keep swimming. But little did she know what was in store come morning.
